My wife and I established this company of which
she later ran the operation on her own. As the
economic situation in Zimbabwe began to decline,
I moved on to join National Fencing in July 2000.
Copyit, unfortunately closed down in June 2001 due
to economic hardships and unavailability of spares
and stock which were imported, requiring foreign
currency which was not available.
July 2001-January 2006 : NATIONAL FENCING, BULAWAYO (HEAD OFFICE)
Position : Divisional Manager – Fencing Division.
Duties : Fully responsible for the sales and marketing of
fencing products for the Southern region of
Zimbabwe including the smooth running and
profitability of the division. Duties included
quotations, tendering, contract management and
design and fabrication for the supply and erection
of all types of fencing products inclusive of walltop,
Game and Free Standing Electric Fencing as well as
wrought iron fabrication. Staff compliment of 60
skilled/semi-skilled.

DITHUNYA (PTY) LIMITED T/A MAPAKO
(BOTSWANA)
April 2006-March 2008.
Position : FENCING OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Duties : This was a new venture to compliment the
Companys’core business of the treatment and
sales of gumpoles, whereby I was tasked with
setting up a functional factory for the manufacture
of steel posts, stays, gates and associated fencing
products inclusive of the implementation of stock
holdings of fencing wires. Additionally a contracting
labour force was trained and set up for the supply
and erection of all types of fences. Duties included
procurement of stocks and personnel from scratch.
Setup of inventory control system of the same
Department. Staff compliment of 6 members.
April 2008-present
Position : SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER.
Duties : Due to the resignation of certain staff members
within the company,the shareholders restructured
the Organisation, whereby I undertook the
additional duties of the running of the Pole
Treatment operations. Duties included that of
taking on the entire pole production management
function. This encompasses management of the
operation of the various pole yards and the
Treatment plant. It also includes inventory control
of the same, management of staff, upkeep, repair,
mechanical and electrical maintenance of the
plant, machinery and general equipment for the
organisation including new installations. I
also undertook some factory expansions eg -
setting up the transmission pole and power line
cross arms production lines, inclusive of the
design and fabrication of the precision
drilling jigs for the cross arms. This senior position
made me fully responsible and accountable for
the running of the companys’ Pole Division as well
as the Fencing Division, reporting to the General
Manager. Other duties included that of the
responsibility for Security for the operation.

Duties Responsible for the Blast hole drilling contract to
Mupane Gold Mine. There are Five Atlas Copco 660 drillrigs on three different sites , working on a 24 hour basis 7 days a week. Total staff compliment of 54 members.
